Scripture: “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also."
Reflection: The disciples had been with Jesus for some time and walked with Him and talked with Him. In this moment, Jesus Christ describes their future destination and exhorts them not to have "troubled" hearts. The exhortation to believe in Jesus Christ is combined with the hopeful future destiny.
Application: Are you encountering trouble and rough times as a disciple fo the Lord Jesus Christ? Believe in Jesus Christ and take in the vision of the future destination to heart because there is a home in heaven apart from this world.
