"..how I kept back nothing that was helpful, but proclaimed it to you, and taught you publicly and from house to house, testifying to Jews, and also to Greeks, repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ."

Reflection: The Apostle Paul taught the truth to those he came in contact with and within these verses, his audience consisted of both Jews and Greeks. Regardless of the audience, the message is the same one Jesus said in Mark 1:15, "Repent and believe in the Gospel." We have the Gospel clarified by Christ Himself and here clarified by Paul. Despite the audience, the message is the same. The message does not need to be changed for a specific group.

Application: In sharing the Gospel, are you calling people to "repent and believe in the Gospel?" If so, it is helpful to clarify what repentence is about. Some people do not know that it involves turning from sin. Ask God to help you clearly communicate the Gospel so that others can respond.

The New King James Version. (Nashville: Thomas Nelson, 1982), Ac 20:20–21.
