"..how I kept back nothing that was helpful, but proclaimed it to you, and taught you publicly and from house to house, testifying to Jews, and also to Greeks, repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ."
Reflection: The Apostle Paul taught the truth to those he came in contact with and within these verses, his audience consisted of both Jews and Greeks. Regardless of the audience, the message is the same one Jesus said in Mark 1:15, "Repent and believe in the Gospel." We have the Gospel clarified by Christ Himself and here clarified by Paul. Despite the audience, the message is the same. The message does not need to be changed for a specific group.
Application: In sharing the Gospel, are you calling people to "repent and believe in the Gospel?" If so, it is helpful to clarify what repentence is about. Some people do not know that it involves turning from sin. Ask God to help you clearly communicate the Gospel so that others can respond.

Whether you have seen the full video documentary entitled 180 Movie or not, this video is the full interview with Alicia -- a woman who appears in the full-length documentary by Living Waters. What is quite amazing and interesting is how the questions are related to the experiences Alicia has already had even before she arrived for the video interview. Having watched this clip all the way to the end, one can connect how this all fits together.
In the interview, Alicia was asked some difficult questions in order to present her with a perspective regarding the value of human life. In the process, she was then asked to think about her current views on abortion. She then went from being pro-choice to valuing human life and coming into an understanding of how she needed to think of the situation with a new perspective.
Watch how she goes through the process. You 'll also get to hear her responses to the questions pertaining to the afterlife.

"And he went into the synagogue and spoke boldly for three months, reasoning and persuading concerning the things of the kingdom of God."
Reflection: The Apostle Paul becomes a role model for us through the pages of Scripture. As an example, he calls others to live like him. This passage within Acts shows how he went into a public space and began to "reason" and "persuade" and to "speak boldly." The subject matter for his speaking was on "the things of the kingdom of God." His message centered on the Gospel of Jesus Christ and it should be ours to go and tell others. Have you noticed that you probably speak more confidently and boldly when you fully believe in what you are communicating? Paul had confidence in the message because He knew the Creator of all!
Application: Perhaps you do not have a public arena or theater to speak in, but you can speak with people God places in your path. Ask Him to bring people across your path with whom you can share the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Ask Him for the courage to "speak boldly," "reasoning and persuading" with others in love with His message of the forgiveness of sins.

With a world which seems to have lost touch with what it means to be a father, the new movie release from Sherwood Pictures will hopefully bring a renewed sense of a long forgotten and yet biblically based concept of the centrality of the father as the leader of the home. Of such leadership, spiritual leadership is primary and the only way for that to be worthwhile and lasting is for it to be grounded in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
It is important to support films which support Christian values. Be sure to see Courageous and invite others to see a movie that will hopefully do for men and families what Fireproof has done for marriages. See the importance of the Gospel message included in the story and inspire men to be the leaders God designed them to be from the beginning.
You'll want to check out the Courageous Resources they have provided for further study and help. In addition, you can find a theater, and see a trailer... all by going here.
Sidenote: When at the theater, you may want to beware of other movie trailers that come before the film... sometimes these can be quite concerning.
